Les deseo a todas las personas que me leen un feliz fin de semana. Disfruten estos dos días para hacer lo que mas les guste y relajarse; eso si: Ahora que he retomado mis horas de fitness, les recuerdo no dejar a un lado sus rutinas para mantenerse en forma (solo es válido descansar el domingo). 

I wish all those who read me a happy weekend. Enjoy these two days to do that you like and relax, so if: Now that have retaken my hours of fitness, I remind you not to put aside your routines to stay fit (only applies to rest on Sunday).

Friday's FAVS

Espero que me disculpen por no poder actualizar en estos últimos días; me he estado torturando por eso todo este tiempo. Sin embargo, a pesar de mi corta ausencia pude recolectar algunas cositas que me gustaron y que no podía dejar de mostrarles...

1. Zapatos perfectos para HOY, viernes...me gustan mucho porque son excesivamente inclinados y las piernas se ven hermosas y super largas cuando usamos zapatos así.

Gold jewelry

Algo que me encanta y que ultimamente no dejo de usar son los accesorios metálicos en dorado; pulseras, zarcillos, collares, relojes..hasta las hebillas de las correas me gustan mucho en dorado.  Pienso que le dan un toque super chic a cualquier look casual y que siempre tendrás las de ganar al elegir este tipo de accesorio, eso si, siempre existe un limite entre lo normal y lo recargado; las reglas básicas de toda la vida: Si vas a usar un collar muy vistoso, trata de que los zarcillos no resalten mucho o no uses; viceversa, si tus zarcillos reclaman la atención de todos no uses collares. Para las pulseras y relojes si me gusta exagerar un poco si la situación lo requiere; se pueden usar varias texturas y tipos de pulseras para crear ese efecto variado que se ve en las fotos a continuación. Recuerdo que hace unos meses publique un post llamado "Layered Jewelry" donde nos enseñan como combinar distintos tipos de accesorios metálicos.

Something that I love and I miss not lately almost every day are the metal accessories in gold, bracelets, earrings, necklaces, watches .. until the strap buckles I like gold. I think that add a touch of chic to any look super casual and always will have the upper hand in choosing this type of accessory, so yes, there is always a boundary between normal and heavy; the basic rules of lifetime: If you using a very flashy necklace, earrings that is not highlight or do not use much, vice versa, if your earrings demanding the attention of all do not wear necklaces. For bracelets and watches I like to exaggerate a bit if the situation requires it, you can use various textures and types of bracelets to create that effect varied looks in the photos below. I remember some months ago published a post called "Layered Jewelry" where we teach you how to combine different types of metal accessories.

¿Inspiracion ó falta de imaginación?

Si bien, siempre había escuchado que muchos diseñadores y nuevos talentos se inspiran en otros con mas experiencia para crear sus colecciones, lo que es aceptable; sin embargo, existen quienes llevan su "inspiración" al extremo y el parecido con otros trabajos ya previamente realizados y presentados por otra persona es simplemente evidente.

Les traigo un ejemplo muy palpable que casualmente sucedió aquí en Venezuela:

La diseñadora de modas Nina Sanchez, lanzo el año pasado su octava colección de Swim para el verano 2011, denominada "OPULENTIA":

I had always heard that many designers and new talents are inspired by others with more experience to create their collections, what is acceptable, but there are those who take their "inspiration" to the extreme and the similarity with other works previously made and presented as the other person is just obvious.

I bring a very tangible example which coincidentally happened here in Venezuela:

DIY: Fit your pants!

Hoy les traigo un DIY que estoy segura que le servirá en algún momento; se trata de una manera muy fácil de ajustar la pretina de los pantalones sin necesidad de ir a una costurera.

 Muchas veces nos encontramos con ese pantalón que nos encanta y que solo queda UNO solo en el perchero de la tienda, pero que lastimosamente no es de nuestra talla sino de una talla mas grande; ese fue mi caso ya hace un tiempo cuando decidí comprarme este precioso pantalón rosado estilo baggy de Zara, me quedaba un poco grande pero aun así eso no me detuvo. En ese momento pensé que dado que estaba aprendiendo a usar la maquina de coser lo arreglaría facilmente pero no fue sino hasta el viernes que lo saque del closet y puse manos a la obra...

"Marvel" Nails

 Como buena fanática que soy de las películas de Marvel y en vista del gran revuelo que ha causado la película "Los Vengadores" (que por cierto no he visto todavia e iré el lunes SIN FALTA a verla) decidí dedicar mi manicura de hoy a los super heroes sacando mi lado mas Geek. No es una manicura muy extravagante pero opino que el color azul brillante es alusivo al tema no? ¿Ustedes que dicen?

As I am big fan of good movies from Marvel and in view of the great uproar caused by the movie "The Avengers" (which incidentally I have not seen yet and go on Monday without fail to see it) I decided to dedicate my manicure today at the super heroes getting my side more Geek. Is not a very extravagant manicure but I think the bright blue is alluding to the subject. What do you say?

Estoy empezando a usar Polyvore. Es una página para crear looks que de verdad me gusta mucho ya que es super útil para subir nuevos looks a mi blog y por supuesto, a mi cuenta en Pinterest. Este outfit esta inspirado evidentemente, en el atardecer; por los colores y porque esta perfecto para usarlo en una tarde soleada para ir a comer o para dar un paseo; me encanta la combinacion de los shorts con las plataformas, es mi tipo de look perfecto para el verano.

I'm starting to use Polyvore. It is a page to create looks that I really love because it is super useful for uploading new looks to my blog and of course my account Pinterest. This outfit is inspired of course, in the sunset, for the colors and because it is perfect for use on a sunny afternoon for lunch or for a walk, I love the combination of shorts with the platforms, is my kind of perfect look for the summer.

A todas mis fashion readers les deseo un Feliz Domingo. En estas ultimas dos semanas no he tenido tiempo de actualizar mi blog como deberia (cada dos días) dado que ya inicie las clases en la universidad y mis tareas diarias no me permiten estar mucho tiempo con mi querido blog. Tanto para las que se quedaran hoy hasta el medio dia durmiendo y disfrutando de estar en casa como para las que tienen que salir y cumplir con compromisos; mi consejo es que : Sea lo que sea lo que vayan a hacer lo hagan con mucho glamour y estilo; no hay razon para dejar de ser coquetas...

In these last two weeks I have not had time to update my blog as it should (every other day) since we already started classes in college and my daily duties will not let me spend much time with my beloved blog.
